Two New Products, One Faster Path.

We are excited to expand with two new products: a capacitive touch version of our 2.1" round IPS TFT and a companion controller board built for fast prototyping. Together, these products give designers a faster path from concept to working prototype.
Building on the popular NHD-2.1-480480AF-ASXP, the new NHD-2.1-480480AF-ASXP-CTP adds an optically bonded capacitive touchscreen to the same 480x480 round display, enabling smooth five-point multitouch interaction so users can tap, swipe, and draw directly on the screen. High pixel density (323 PPI) and In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology deliver sharp, consistent graphics with full viewing angles, while a sunlight-readable 850 cd/m² backlight keeps the display legible indoors and out. An extended cover glass allows for flush mounting, and 3M tape with a 360-degree seal simplifies installation into a design. Built-in EMI shielding improves EMC, and the display operates across a wide -20°C to 70°C temperature range. Like its non-touch counterpart, it offers a user-selectable interface — 18-bit Parallel RGB or 1-lane MIPI DSI — with touch handled over I²C through a built-in FT3427 touch controller.
Pairing with the new touch display is the NHD-ST1-BT817 Controller Board, built around Bridgetek's BT817 embedded video engine (EVE) graphics controller. The board connects directly to Newhaven's 2.1" round TFT, as well as its 2.9" and 4.0" TFT display families, and simplifies evaluation and prototyping by driving both display and touch through simple SPI commands rather than low-level driver code. With user-accessible FFC and IDC connectors, it's designed to help engineers move from idea to working interface faster.
