We are excited to expand our COG lineup with new 4x20 character LCD displays in a chip-on-glass design. These modules deliver four lines of twenty characters each in a slimmer, more efficient form factor than traditional chip-on-board modules, and are available in two sizes to fit your design requirements.
Designed as compact, low-power alternatives to conventional character LCD modules, these COG displays feature a smaller footprint and reduced power draw with logic supply current as low as 1.25mA typical. Available in both FSTN positive (transflective) and STN negative blue (transmissive) options with white LED backlights, they are built for strong contrast and consistent readability. The FSTN models remain readable without the backlight in well-lit environments, even in direct sunlight, further reducing power consumption.
Integration is straightforward with selectable 8-bit 6800/8080 parallel, 3/4-wire SPI, or I²C interface options. Connectivity is handled through a 20-pin FFC cable (0.5mm pitch), keeping the design slim and flexible. The built-in IST3602 controller, 3.3V logic supply, and wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C make these displays reliable across a range of environments and system architectures.
