Engineering Change Notification 05/19/2021
This notice on May 19th 2021, is to inform you of a change to the following LCD product:
- NHD-12864AZ-FSW-FBW
The backlight has been redesigned to improve the connection method for anode and cathode. Old backlight design used thru-hole LEDs with leads that wrapped around the PCB. New backlight design uses surface-mount LEDs, which are connected to the PCB using thru-hole leads.
The new displays will be labeled with Rev1A identifier after the part number.
Photos comparing the old and new designs are included at the end of this notification.
We understand that every customer’s application is unique, and therefore recommend you test and validate samples of the updated design.

When requesting samples, please specify that your inquiry pertains to the new Rev1A version.
