Engineering Change Notification - NHD-C12864KGZ-FSW-GBW: 01/25/24

This notice on January 25th, is to inform you of the change to the following LCD product:

  • NHD-C12864KGZ-FSW-GBW

The Backlight, Glass, and FPC used in the manufacturing of this display have been redesigned to improve quality performance and long-term manufacturing sustainability.

  1. Backlight: LEDs changed. No change to backlight color or input power requirements.
  2. Glass: Substrate changed. No change to size or position of active area.
  3. FPC: Trace layout changed. No change to pinout, connection type or cable dimensions.

The changes described above should not have any impact on the part’s electrical or mechanical compatibility within your system. All our testing has found the new display to be compatible with existing platforms driving the old display. We fully expect the new display to fit and function without any issue for our customers.

The new display will be labeled with a different revision control number after the part number. See example below.

We understand that every customer’s application is unique, and therefore recommend you test and validate samples of the updated design. Samples may be purchased by contacting us at nhsales@newhavendisplay.com. When ordering samples, please specify that you would like to receive the new version.
