Engineering Change Notification - NHD-2.8-240320AF: 03/10/23

This notice is to inform you of a change to the following TFT product:

  • NHD-2.8-240320AF-CSXP-FCTP

The FT5426 touch controller used in these touchscreen displays has been replaced by FT5426-003 (newer version), and the CTP firmware that we program onto the touch controller during manufacturing has been updated for the new IC. The new capacitive touch panel also has a redesigned FPC, but the FPC size, shape and 6-pin connection remain the same.

All our testing found the new version to be backwards compatible with existing systems. The new CTP will be labeled with a different revision control number after the part number. See example below.

We understand that every customer’s application is unique, and therefore recommend you test and validate samples of the updated design.
