I was looking for a small <2" display 16 characters text only and ordered (NHD-0216Hz-FL-YBW-C) for a pre production prototype unit.  Great display but I am unable to handle the small connector that mates to the ribbon cable.  Are there any breakout boards ?? My prototype is all .1 spacing through hole devices.  Production will probably be surface mount but for now that is all I can handle.

  The NHD-0216HZ-FL-YBW-C has a 0.1" or 2.54mm pitch thru-hole connection.
  
  Did you mean the NHD-02161Z-FSY-YBW-C?
  
  This display has a 16-POS, 1mm Pitch FFC cable connector, its recommended connector would be the Molex_52207-1685.
  
  We have the NHD-FFC16-1 which is a breakout board with a similar molex connector. The breakout board has a 2x8 0.1" (2.54mm) pitch thru-hole connection.
