3V3 microprocessor parallel interface with 5V display (NHD-0212WH-ATMI-JT)

Hi, I'm going to use a microprocessor supplied with 3V3.
NHD-0212WH-ATMI-JT display must be supply at 5V0.

Considering parallel communication (bidirectional), Is there a way to obtain a communication between uC and display without using bidirectional level translator?

  Without using a Voltage translator its hard to say what whether the controller will recognize the 3.3v bits as a '1'.
  There would also be issues with the contrast when powered with a 3.3v input.
  
  We would be able to offer this display as a 3.3V display, however this will require a MOQ.
