LCD Dev Board and NHD-1.69-160128UGC3

Has anyone got this combination to work?
We wired them assuming a serial connection but display doesn't work.

Any advice would be appreciated.

  The Code loaded into the NHDev Development board is written for 6800 mode Parallel Interface.
  It will not work in serial.
