Touch not working on NHD-5.0-800480TF-ATXL#_Rev1B

We have been using the NHD-5.0-800480TF-ATXL for some time in several products.  We have our own 8051 based touch controller running the I2C interface for the Ptouch on this display.  We just received 'Rev1B' displays and the touch is not working.  We also have "Rev14' boards in stock and these continue to work correctly.  All of our "Rev1B" stock will not work.  Can anyone let us know what has changed?  I have not yet tried to debug the touch driver, but again this has been working stable for several years.

  Hi Jeff,
  
  The capacitive touchscreens used on the Rev1B version of the 5" TFT's are now using a new version of the Focaltech touch controler IC.
  
  The FT5406 capacitive touch controller has reached end of life and was replaced by the FT5426 for new production touchscreens used on the Rev1B 5" TFTs.  The new controller has proven to be backwards compatible with existing systems based on internal testing.

  Also, the Touch Panel's FPC has been redesigned to make it less susceptible to tearing and other damage from handling or assembly.
