NHD-0216K3Z-FL-GBW-V3 with Raspbery Pi and I2c
I have a NHD-0216K3Z-FL-GBW-V3 hooked up to a Raspberry Pi via I2C and I'm trying to control it via a Python script. Currently I'm using SMBuss but it doesn't seem to be a great fit for the command structure of this display. For example if I try to send a string to the display one byte at a time nothing is displayed. The only thing that has worked thus far is using a function that sends a byte followed by 0x00.
Beyond that LCD functions preceded by $FE seem to work OK but I need to put in delays or subsequent commands won't function.
Has anyone had success driving this display via Python? If so did you use SMBuss or something else? Could use some help and guidance.

Seems I've the only one who has tried to do this. In the end I couldn't wait longer for an answer so I've removed this display for a standard parallel display. If anyone has some insight on this in the future please let me know.
