NHD-4.3-HDMI-HR-RSXP-CTU protective cover

Hello,

I am planning on using the NHD-4.3-HDMI-HR-RSXP-CTU screen with touch capabilities for a waterproof case. My idea is to use acrylic as a protective cover for the screen. How thick can this cover be before it hinders the touch screen's functionality?

  Hi Martin,
  
  We typically recommend a maximum glass thickness of 3.7mm. Since the display has a glass cover already (0.7mm thick) an additional 2.5mm - 3mm would be the range of recommendation. However, accounting for a possible air gap and material characteristics may adjust those values. I would test with 2.5mm and 3mm of acrylic to verify performance and proceed with the design.
