How to place a jumper on R1 for NHD-0420D3Z-NSW-BBW-V3

The datesheet asks me to place a jumper on R1(another word is, make R1 short), may I know how to do it? R1 is a hole.

  Hi Joe,
  
  R1 and R2 are the unpopulated pads located just above the labeling, as shown in the image below. However I do understand the confusion, as it's located next to 2 other hole slots.
  You may then solder an 0603 0-ohm SMT resistor to create the short between the two pads.
