Will your NHD-0224WH-ATDI-JT# display work with a Lexicon MRC?

Hi.

I was curious if anybody here is familiar with professional recording studio gear, such as the Lexicon MRC (Midi Remote Controller).

My MRC is over 20 years old and the backlight needed to be replaced. After installing, the new backlight works fine, but no characters appear on the LCD! 

Having no experience in soldering circuit boards, it's likely I damaged the display board. I've attached images of the front and back of the board.
