SSD1333 Device ID

I'm replacing an NHD-1.69-160128G (SEPS525 controller) with an NHD-1.69-160128B (SSD1333 controller). I've downloaded the datasheets and appendices but can't find any indication of a "Device ID" register to query. I reached out to Solomon Systech and their reply was "As for the command for device ID identification, our latest datasheet does not have that information. Please contact the panel maker who should have the control commands for the modules."

Do you have any insight to a register I can read from either device to verify which display is in use?
