NHD-1-69-160128UGC3 OLED Screen Saver and How to Save pixel disintegration for static contents
Hi, I wanted to know the features of the screen saver of NHD-1-69-160128UGC3.
I am able to scroll my screen using the screen saver mode. When autosleep mode is applied, it didn't turn on by itself from sleep mode, when some updates(commands/datas) are given to the display. Is it like that? Will it turn on by itself after autosleep? Are there any other significance for screen saver other than the motion displays?
Also any suggestions for this "Luminance of active pixels will degrade faster than inactive pixels. Residual (burn-in) images may occur. To avoid this, every pixel should be illuminated uniformly" as I have static display areas.
Thank you,
Jane Susan Thomas

Hi Jane,
Thanks for your post. The display does not exit sleep mode when a new command or data is sent to the display. You will need to enter and exit sleep mode through the screen saver control command (0x3B). The screen saver mode is intended to reduce power consumption and avoid pixel burn-in.
The best way to avoid pixel burn-in is to avoid keeping pixels lit in the same area of the screen for an extended period of time. This can be achieved using the screensaver mode, or by regularly changing the contents of the screen. You may refer to our blog post below for additional information on avoiding burn-in.
