NHD-2.7-12864WDW3 Arduino no display

This is my first time using this display for a project. I have the display wired per the PDF BS0 and BS1 tied to ground for 4 wire SPI. After my initial project failed I tried a few “hello world” examples I’ve found online and those failed as well. I was wondering if there is an initialization step I’m missing with this display? I will also purchase another on the chance that the display is non-functioning. I appreciate any advice and can provide my code and schematic. I appreciate your time and thank you.

EDIT

I found an example code from NHD, the first google return, meant for a Due and changed the pin addresses to R3 and the example works as it should.

That at least verifies my wiring and addresses are correct, now I need to figure out what I need to do to get the display to work with my program.
