I2C pull-ups required for NHD-0220D3Z-FL-GBW-V3?

The datasheet for NHD-0220D3Z-FL-GBW-V3 includes the below on the I2C interface:

I2C protocol:
To enter the I2C mode, place a jumper on R1.
SDA and SCL have pull-up resistors (10K Ohm) on R7 and R8.

Is this saying that R7/R8 have internal pull-ups to Vdd, or that we're need to add them externally?

  Hi Brian,

  The R7 and R8 pull-up resistors are already populated on the back of the PCB.  You do not need to add these resistors externally.
