NHD-0420CW_RevB shows a shadow line when updated rapidly.

I am trying to replace an old VFD display in an old product with NHD-0420CW_RevB. I got it working but there is an issue of the NHD-0420CW_RevB displaying at temporary shadow line blow the text line when display is updated at rapid rate of at least several times a second. This line disappears when the update stops. Please see enclosed picture. Does anyone know what is causing this issue and how to address it?

    After some more testing, I discovered that this shadow line still appears briefly even when text is written to the display at as low rate as one line per second, but this line is fainter than when the display is written to more frequently. Has anyone seen this issue?

    Hi Mark,

    We have not encountered this issue in our display testing. Have you tried using a different display to see if the issue persists? Also, please send your initialization code to nhtech@newhavendisplay.com so we can troubleshoot the issue you are experiencing with the display.

    I found that root cause of the shadow line issue is the use of 'Return Home' command (hex 02). When, in my firmware, I replaced the 'Return Home' command with 'Set DDRAM Address (to  zero)' command, the shadow line issue disappeared.
