FT5426 Initialization

I am working with a display that is using the FT5426.  The processor I am using is an STM processor.  The provided libraries attempt to read the chip ID from address 0xA8.  Based on the documentation available for the FT5426 it looks like this register doesn't exist on this component.  Is that true?  Is there a different address/register to read the chip ID/manufacturer information from?

Is there a way to determine the slave address of the FT5426 in my display?

  With our display, you can access that address 0xA8 to read the Chip ID.
