2.4 inch TFT 8 bit interface

I am starting a new project using a 2.4" TFT - first time with that kind of display, so, sorry if it is a dumb question.
By the datasheet of NHD-2.4-240320CF-CTXI#-FT (st7789s controller) I should conect the MPU 8 bit bus to DB8-DB15 of the display, but the st7789s datasheet say I should use DB0-DB7.
The same inconsistense exist in NHD-2.4-240320SF-CTXL#-FTN1 (using a ili8241 controller):
display datasheet:   MPU DB0-DB7<->TFT DB8-DB15
controler datasheet: MPU DB0-DB7<->TFT DB0-DB7
If someone could give some information I will be very gratefull.

  Our displays are configured for I/F II mode.  When using an 8-bit interface you need to use the upper 8 bits of the 16-bit data bus.  Please take a look at page 32 of the ST7789S controller datasheet and page 10 of the ILI9341 controller datasheet under the MCU interface mode description.  Also we recommend that you tie the unused DB0-DB7 pins of the display to ground for 8-bit interface.
