st7789s controller serial mode for NHD-2.4-240320CF-CSXN#-F

Is there a way to change the IM1/IM2/IM3 values for the NHD-2.4-240320CF-CSXN#-F to change the st7789s to a serial mode? Is this something I can do myself (change pullups/pulldowns) or does it require a custom order?
If it's a custom order, what kind of NRE/MOQ/calendar time involved?

  I’m sorry, unfortunately you can only interface to NHD-2.4-240320CF-CSXN#-F via a 8-bit/16-bit parallel interface. If you are interested in a possible custom design please contact support@newhavendisplay.com for further information.

  Hi, I have NHD-2.4-240320CF-CSXN#-F display. I want to use it in 18 bits(262K colors) interface. But when I send data to lcd. It looks only can accept 16 bits interface. Is possible set it to 18 bits interface? Datasheet says Yes. Thanks.
