OLED In-rush current

Hello,

I am having an issue with the NHD-2.7-12864UCY3 drawing very high currents when waking up (0xAF) from extended sleep times (>30 min).

The display is powered by 3.0V and has a 100uF decoupling capacitor just beside it. I am seeing the supply drop to ~2.4 V twice, just after wake up.

Can I set something on the display to reduce the in-rush currents during wake up, but change it later? Maybe ramp up an internal voltage slowly to spread out the in-rush current?

  What is your PCB design like for the power rails to the OLED? Do you have sufficiently wide ground and power rails to it?
  
  Where are you measuring the voltage drop? At the OLED?
