NHD-2.4-240320CF-CSXN#-F backlight driver
Greetings Newhaven,
I am using an NHD-2.4-240320CF-CSXN#-F in my circuit. The backlight voltage, 3.1V, is much lower than the "typical" (about 20V) voltage of most TFTs I have used. Does Newhaven have a recommended backlight driver circuit?
The NHD-TFT-40 circuit works to drive the backlight, but it is not dimmable. I suspect this is because the FAN5333BSX in that circuit is a boost converter and, when supplied with 5V input, cannot buck that down to 3.1V.
Kind regards,
Ihab

Hi,
The NHD-TFT40 PCB is not meant to be used for the NHD-2.4-240320CF-CSXN#-F display.
The backlight of this display is driven by the current drain, the drive voltage is for reference only. The drive voltage must be selected to ensure the backlight current drain is below the Max level stated in the spec which is 125mA.
The dimming cannot be controlled by software.
Thank you.
