Potential discrepancy discovered in data of TFT display NHD-4.3-800480FT-CSXP-CT
Hello,
I'm a little bit confused about the data of that display memory size coming from different sources:
The manual/datasheet say: It has the resolution of 800 x 480 pixels with 24 bit colors with RAM of 1 MB.
I calc: 800 x 480 x 3 bytes per pixel = 1152000 bytes. It's about 1MB.
There is also some RAM for fonts, display lists etc. required!
What is correct and what is wrong?
Is the color depth wrong? Maybe only 16 bits...
Thanks in advance for your answers,
Michael

Hi Michael,
The Bridgetek FT813 EVE2 graphics chip contains 1MB of graphics RAM as object memory. There is no frame buffer RAM required for driving the TFT display with this graphics chip.
The FT813 chip supports a full 24bit Parallel RGB output to drive the 800x480 TFT display directly and supports true color for the native NHD-4.3-800480CF-ASXP IPS display.
