OLED Display Off Command
We are using an OLED display (NHD-0420DZW-AB5) in a battery backed up application. How much power can I expect to save when issuing a Display Off command? We can put some electronics in between the screen and the power supply, but a software solution is a bit cleaner.
Thank you,
Angelo

You can expect to save approximately 20mA of current drawn by the display.

Thank you. It looks like an actual power down saves us around 100mA on the 12V circuit which is significant in our application.
If we elect to actually perform a power down, can you confirm we will have to re-initialize the screen?
Thanks,

Correct. If the display is powered down, you would need to re-initialize it.
